"Tour de France"Fresh Off My Easel!
Welcome to my very first newsletter. I hope to use this newsletter as a way to connect and share the latest happenings in my art world with you. My goal is that you get the feel of walking through a wonderful little gallery and see a bit about my oil paintings and what inspires me. I also hope that I hear from you and learn back a bit about you. I will try to give you a bit of a tour with this first one so you can learn your way around not only my newsletter but hopefully my website. I love learning and hope you will enjoy as we check out my latest paintings in Fresh Off My Easel. I paint almost everyday and you will get the first viewings here. I appreciate your interest, time and support!
This painting titled, "Tour de France", is one of the selected paintings to be in the Anne Irwin Emerging Artist Show at the prestigious Anne Irwin Gallery in Atlanta. I am honored and very excited about being invited to show my work and can't wait for opening night on August 10th from 6-9 pm. I hope you will all join me for a night of fun and fabulous art with lots of talented artists. The show will hang for 12 days and contact information for Anne Irwin Gallery is here. I will have all the links for my paintings as I get them on my website and Facebook. Please "like" me below so I can share them with you!
Now for just a bit about Tour de France...I fell in absolute love with this scene and had to paint it. Loved the light and all the wonderful components to hold your interest. I felt an instant connection and tried to portray the charm with every stroke- hope you feel the same.

Here's what's blooming...
Hydrangeas are one of the hardest yet one of my favorite flowers to paint. I love getting them in sunlight and painting the light and shadow. I had a blast painting Sunkissed Hydrangeas and Pears in Window Sill. I love using a window sill and painting in silhouette. I have done quite a few different florals in my sunlit window sill and you can check them out on my website under Still Life's.
I also feel like I am blooming a bit too! Besides being in the amazing Anne Irwin Show, I will also be Leslie Saeta's guest CoHost on the Artist Helping Artist Radio Show for August. I am CoHosting all month long and the list of artists that we are interviewing is very exciting...Scott Christensen and David Shevlino to name two! I am a lucky girl!! I am looking forward to AHA and you can click here to listen in anytime!

Georgia Bulldawgs and Collegiate Corner!
It is that time of year again...back to school and college football! I love painting these University of Georgia Bulldogs and scenes from the UGA campus. I feel such a connection being an Alumni and also former Georgia Coach! I am so honored that one of my larger paintings of UGA III is hanging in Butts Mehre on campus. This Season Starter Dawg is a personal favorite. I have fun capturing the character and think they have a sophistication that makes for charming fine art...See, I told ya...I just love my dawgs!

I have painted all of the Georgia Bulldog Mascots at least once and of course, Russ, the latest one. Sonny Seiler (owner and breeder) has been so kind to allow me to use some of his photos. Sonny told me that the painting I did for him of Russ "looked so real that he thought he should feed it!! " Tickled me to death!! As I said, I love painting my dawgs and would be happy to paint one just for you to "adopt" ! To visit my Dawg Pound with all of my Georgia Bulldogs, Arches and Athens scenes on my website, under Collegiate Collection, click here.

TEE IT UP! Golf Gallery
One of my favorite things to paint are gorgeous golf courses! Being married to a PGA Golf Professional and having been a former collegiate golf coach at Georgia, it just seems fitting. I love the dichotomy of the manicured greens set amongst the natural setting. I would love to paint that special golf hole and commemorate a great round of golf for that special someone. Please view this available one titled,"Early Morning Round" and all my other golf paintings on my website here and let me know if I can help you Tee It Up!

Commission Corner
I have had the pleasure of painting some very rewarding commissions and am fortunate to be able to say that all my collectors have been extremely pleased with their paintings. One of my favorite things is to connect and "get" what the collector wants and then say it beautifully with paint. I have painted many Georgia Bulldogs, children, golf courses and some wonderful still lifes that are all special momentos of that person. I would love to work with you on anything special that you can dream up...we can do it together.

Monthly Spotlight:
Five Italian Boats in Waiting, 12 x 16 Oil on Linen
Here's why! I loved painting that gorgeous strong sunlight on the boats and all the beautiful colors. Makes me want to jump in and take a spin. I then did take a short tour around France and Italy and did the oil paintings in the collage below. They can all be seen on my website in my new European Inspired Collection! Benvenuto!
