Using paint to say something…tell a story and capture that beautiful moment.

Peace Offering, 36 x 36, Oil on Linen

FRESH OFF MY EASEL

Greetings!  I have been busy painting a ton and painting big, big, big- both commissions and for shows at Galleries!!  I am grateful for opportunities that come about for me to share my art.  So excited to be invited by dk Gallery for the 'April Showers bring May Flowers' Show that opens on Friday, April 5th.  I hope y'all will come on up to dk Gallery and join in the fun.  Amazing space and full of beautiful art- I am honored!  Here's their contact info: 25 West Park Square, Marietta, GA-770-427-5377.

I have always been linear- even putt in golf that way.  Love anything square, add in a square box in a square format and I am swooning with glee!  The painting above is a personal favorite and a "Peace Offering" in case you need one!   Adore white roses and the bottle from France was a fun find with my daughter!  Love the feel of this with the gorgeous palette and the wonderful edges.  I have placed it several places in my home and it just shimmers everywhere.   Available at dk Gallery.

I love cotton and so pleased with how this painting below turned out.  Set my "borrowed" cotton up on a French Gargoulette with great light and shadow and had a blast.  This is big and I love all that space to play with paint.  Hope y'all take a cotton to it too and come see it at dk Gallery.

Lots more wonderful news I am saving for next month!  See y'all then to give you the scoop!  Appreciate the love and support!

Monthly Spotlight:

Only Just Begun,  40 x 40,  Oil on Linen

Here's why!   I had the very best time painting this one.   Just stayed focused on my visual concept but let loose and allowed two dozen gorgeous white roses to talk to me.   I love the exposed linen at the bottom and the charcoal drawing showing.  That is some sophisticated control and edgey decision making in stopping on this one when I did.  Gorgeous in person.  Come see this one at dk Gallery also!!  40 x 40, Gallery Wrapped, Oil on Linen

 Here's What's Blooming:

Painting flowers is always a favorite still life subject for me.  This is a lovely family keepsake Spode vase that I love- just seemed right with the big hydrangeas and gorgeous oranges.  Fun to let loose with all kinds of texture and play in the paint.

Love tulips, spring and that Fresh Start feeling that come with it.
