Sunlit Peonies in Windowsill, 18 x 24, Oil on Linen FRESH OFF MY EASELGreetings! April is one of my favorite months and there are lots of exciting fun things going on! The April Showers bring May Flowers Show opens Friday, April 5th at dk Gallery! I am very excited to be a guest artist for the show and just heard that one of my eleven paintings has a Red Dot already! I am always so honored when my art touches someone! I hope y'all will come visit dk Gallery- Amazing space and full of beautiful art- I can't wait! Here's their contact info: 25 West Park Square, Marietta, GA-770-427-5377. Sunlit Peonies was a joy to paint. I could paint flowers everyday and love peonies and roses. This one has some little hydrangeas and a lily too so got it all covered! Love the light on the flowers! And I am proud that my very own homegrown Lenten Roses and Camellias are in the painting below, Gift Reflections...Love the soft flowers against all the gorgeous neutrals. Come see both of these and more at dk Gallery this month!
Breaking News! I promised last month to share some very exciting scoop with y'all and here it is...I was invited to be in the Shain Gallery in Charlotte for their Low Country Show in May. Opening night is Thursday, May 9th and I am over the moon. I appreciate the opportunity and will love getting the chance to share my art in Charlotte. The paintings are on their way there very soon and I will post some of those images in May's Newsletter- I am tickled that one of my paintings is being used for Shain's press release. Just smiling and thankful! Gift Reflections, 40 x 40, Oil on Linen

Monthly Spotlight:Sunrise Symphony, 20 x 20, Oil on Linen Here's why! I love to paint clouds and skyscapes. This one just had the prettiest light and I loved working on the "rim" lighting all around the clouds as the sun was greeting us for a new day. This is a really special painting and I just tried to capture the incredible beauty in front of me!
