Sunrise Over Marsh, 40 x 40, Oil on Linen FRESH OFF MY EASELGreetings! Spring is here and I am just loving all the exciting things going on in May. I got to visit the Shain Gallery and deliver these four large Marsh paintings and just loved the Gallery. Such beautiful art there and I am thrilled to be in the Low Country Show that opens, Thursday, May 9th. Everywhere I turned was eye candy and such talented artists all over the place! The painting above is Sunrise Over Marsh and is from several studies I had done painting Plein Air. Loved that sun popping through and just love all the warm colors in this one. Below is another favorite with a wonderful Low Country feel! So glad it is at Shain Gallery also and just love gorgeous cloud reflections in the marsh. I could paint those all day long! Hope you like it too. Next one down is really special. I hope Serenity captures for you that peaceful timeless feel that marshes bring to me. Has a warm rich color palette that just sings of a spring time Marsh. Lastly, everyone loves a Silver Lining and this one is just all about a wonderful composition of clouds across the sky with gorgeous light and shadow. Love the little abstract feel in the marsh below.

Monthly Spotlight:Copper Pot with Peaches Study, 16 x 20, Oil on Linen, NFS Here's why! I just returned for a 5 day advanced with Sherrie McGraw and Jacqueline Kamin and it was intensive higher level learning at it's best. I loved painting this still life and the copper was just a blast to learn to paint. Love painting my own peaches and hydrangeas from my yard too! Keeping this one as a study and memory of all that I learned!
