Oil on Linen
It always amazes me how wonderful the art and also the golf world are- just full of fabulous folks that I am lucky to get to meet and know. Sometimes you have that instant connection and you know it will be a wonderful friendship to treasure as you go down the road together. I always loved this photo and painted it of a special friend who I thought might need a little boost. While I am not a figurative painter, I was pretty pleased and loved being able to do something a little bit special for her. I have been honored to be asked to be a chemo buddy and a primary caregiver for several best friends who needed support through that rough spot in their journey and I can tell you it is life changing.
So along your life’s journey- take care of yourself and do all the tests you are supposed to do- they are important. And when you get the chance- reach out and give back. Do that random act of kindness- it comes back tenfold in so many ways. Take care friends!

Kathy what a lovely gift… the painting and your friendship and support.

Love this! See? You don’t have to be a ‘figure painter’ to paint a figure in a landscape! Ken Auster says that humans are drawn to human figures in a scene, and this proves the point. As lovely as this painting would be without the person in it, it makes it real with the figure. Great job. You’re a great friend, too. Prayers for your friend…

I love this…it says so much. I can feel the figure walking down the path. I am sure the recipient will love it also not only for its beauty but they will treasure it because of the thoughts you had while painting it.
