Little General Scout Study

One of my favorite things with my golf world is all the beautiful golf courses you get to visit and play. This is a study from the Little General Course up at Barnsley Gardens. The setting is gorgeous and the PGA Golf Pro is an absolute favorite all around great guy, Scott Mahr. I did this study to focus on designing a great composition with the information that I had. I always hope that my golf paintings read as beautiful landscapes and then someone realizes that it is a golf course setting.
Lots of “scouting and studies” going on here at my studio. It has been a whirlwind so far this year and I really appreciate all the comments and support on my new WP website and Blog- Thank you!

This is just gorgeous. Yes, it reads like a lovely landscape, then when you mention it, you see the course. The colors here are just divine. Reminds me of Karin Jurick, in that she takes the everyday colors and makes them DELICIOUS!
