Don’t you just adore gorgeous fresh cut flowers and love to have them everyday? I know I do! I keep my Mom in fresh flowers all the time and have begun to reap the benefits from my own cutting garden. Amazing what you will do to have fresh flowers on a daily basis! I love hydrangeas and tulips probably run a close second place. And my absolute favorite to paint are white flowers. I love seeing what the light and shadow does to the petals. All those wonderful cool and warm temperature shifts. I adore that favorite little southern mint julep cup and put this whole set up on some gorgeous linen fabric. This was one of my biggest and best floral paintings and I am honored to have it chosen to be in the Anne Irwin Emerging Artist Show. Hope you like Fresh Cut flowers too!

There is so much I love about this painting. The reflections, the whites, the transition from table to background and the soft greens. It is a lovely piece and I am sure it looks fabulous in the show.
