La Vie Est Belle…Life is good! There are so many wonderful things happening this month and one of them is being in the Anne Irwin Emerging Artist Show. I just delivered my paintings to the Anne Irwin Gallery and am so proud to be a part of such a wonderful show. Opening night is next Friday, August 10th and runs for 12 days. I hope everyone will come out. I was so amazed and inspired today just being there. Gorgeous, beautiful art everywhere I turned.

I love Tour de France and had the most joyful time ever painting it. It is probably one of the toughest paintings I have ever done and that may be why I just love it so. It has a bit of everything in it and my ever present love of sunlight just shining across the scene. I loved the charming buildings and awnings, the color palette, the water, the reflections and oh that bike! I worked hard to capture that character of the scene and let all the wonderful elements shine through with paint. So many wonderful things to keep looking at and that is what I admire about other artists paintings….when I can just look at it forever.
