What is not to love about a gorgeous field of flowers that just seems to go on forever? I was so excited to paint this. Love the red poppies against the gorgeous greens. Fun to layer in the greens and then build the poppy field upon that. Just sits correctly and reads right. So much fun- can just feel the sunshine falling across as you walk your way through. Love the pops of yellow flowers that just make this. I want to live in that little cottage in the background surrounded by flowers-would love for everyone to come by for a visit. See y’all soon!

It’s funny how poppies vary from one area to the next. All of our Cali poppies are yellow-orange.
I like both but always think of home when I see the hills covered in orange.
