Sunlit Hydrangeas in Window Sill
11 x 14 Oil on Linen, $300.00
I am on a still life painting kick really working on values and colors and getting ready to go Plein Air painting at my favorite place very soon! I felt that I needed to work on “seeing” and being able to get those values correct. So much fun to put in the work when you have beautiful still life set ups right in front of you. I am back at my favorite window and just loving the light that comes through onto the sill. Love hydrangeas and had to add the new craze that is hot right now- nests! And they are so fun to paint. Did a bit of palette knife work on this nest also- just wanted it to look organic. I love how the creamy soft hydrangeas look against that rich red pottery. This was fun to paint and hope you like it too!

Just lovely! And my favorite part is all the beautiful grays in the shadow side of the hydrangea!
