I signed up for this workshop knowing that it would be educational for the business and marketing side of the art world. Leslie and Dreama know their art and certainly how to market! Both Dreama and Leslie got to know each artist and asked each one what they wanted with their art, where they wanted to go if anywhere with their art and encouraged everyone to paint like they as individuals are supposed to paint. We had help and guidance all day long and the evenings were wonderful. I posted the paintings that we all did as a group because I felt that was what this was all about. It must be so rewarding for both teachers to see that they taught a group how they paint and encouraged us to take that and make it our own.
I truly was not sure I could be there with having just lost our beloved dog, Maggie and both wrote me notes that touched me and knew I had to try. I am so glad that I did.
I met some of the most wonderful loving, caring and fabulous new friends. Talented too! I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings by leaving anyone out so will be sharing their blogs along the way with you. I think everyone will understand when I do mention Kelley MacDonald and what an additional inspiration she was to all of us. Kelley just makes you smile- Please check out her blog as there was some doughnut painting done Atlanta style, as a thank you for Aileen and Gary Byrd who had us 2 nights in a row to their warm and lovely home. Kelley learned we call those Bread and Butter gifts down here:) Fun adventure together.
