I am smiling cause this sounds like that Children’s Book I want to write one day! Love drawing with charcoal- especially the thicker vine charcoal from England. It just feels so good in my hand and I love making marks with it. I thought y’all might enjoy seeing a sketch this time. This was a fun Dawg to sketch out and just has a wonderful personality with lots of character. I like to sketch underneath my paintings but don’t usually get quite so detailed. I want to get the information down to start painting but not make it so detailed that I worry about staying in the lines. I love big bold loose brushwork and want to be able to work those edges and have fun.

This would be a fabulous gift for that new Georgia Graduate. It’s coming up soon and I don’t have many Dawgs available- Need to paint some more- they are woofing at me!!
