I totally love how my more traditional painting informs my abstract painting and vice versa. It’s all about good fundamentals, a strong composition and fabulous marking no matter what you are painting. This was so amazing to paint from some of my plein air studies and I had fun pulling out my Vasari paints and bristle brushes too. Nothing better than a beautiful early morning sunrise and watching the world wake up in a gorgeous rich color palette.
