I love Georgia Peaches anytime of year and they are so fun to paint. There are gorgeous peach orchards all around us and we love to go get buckets of fresh peaches to enjoy! They are wonderful in still lives because of their warm range of colors and what they add to the set up also in size. I watched the fabulous Daniel James Keys dvd recently and he had used the container that a lot of fruits come in and I wanted to try painting them in one instead of taking them out. (Thank you Daniel and it is the best dvd if you are an artist and interested- I highly recommend it.) It’s also my daughter’s favorite color- that Tiffany blue! It was so fun to get light and shadow on it and very much like painting the gift boxes. I really enjoyed painting with this fresh color palette and think it shows. Hope you like it too!

Love how the roses and peaches are similar in color. And like you, I especially love the boxes. And Georgia peaches have always been a favorite of mine especially homemade peach ice cream. Both paintings are lovely.

I love the color harmony and ‘softness’ of your paintings.
